 The Zaytun Farmer's Cooperative is the eldest in the SAHA family of communities. It is a collective of farmers from the Palestinian villages of Mass'ha, Bidiya, and Deir Balut who came together to try and improve the living conditions of their families. The farmers and their families joined forces to raise the quality of products they have produced for generations: Olive Oil, Dried Sage Herbal Infusion and Hyssop Spice Mix. Read more

The women of the Community Kitchen met when they participated in the "Women Are Cooking Up Business" project. The project was designed to teach women in need of financial aid to open a small business by doing what they are used to doing for free – cooking. Looking to make their education into a viable business, a few women came together, pooling their assets in order to make a collective profit. Each woman has a specific product that she produces, but the group shares the burden of managing an industrial kitchen. Read more

The Women's Association of Wadi-Fukin is a group of women from the Palestinian village of Wadi-Fukin, which has been devastated by the occupation. Wadi Fukin literally means “The Green Valley”. The soil there is very fertile and every woman is able to grow a small amount of produce in the area near her house. The women decided to make pickles out of the vegetables they grow and sell them. The For You Project is an Non-Governmental Organisation which was established in 2003 in Kfar Qara by a group of Arab women who wish to bring about social change. The initiative to start the For You program came from the wish to provide a response to the wants and needs of Arab women. This project operated for two years and trained 23 women in the traditional way of pressing olives. Six of these women have started a co-op for pressing and selling olive. This is the origin of the great olives that we sell. Read more

The Bridge Over the Wadi School has brought Jewish and Arab children from all over the Wadi Ara region closer together through the use of unsegregated education. This school was created by the hard work of Jewish and Arab parents together with the organisation Hand in Hand. A group of Arab and Jewish mothers, grandmothers and aunts joined together to help subsidise the school, their idea was to make and sell reusable bags. Read more
